Overview
If you have a lab that’s almost perfect, but it just doesn’t start a certain service or it needs something to happen as it is being built, Life Cycle Actions (LCAs) in Lab on Demand can help. In this session, we will review some of the common LCA triggers (where in the life cycle of the Lab Instance you launch the script) and the script types that you can use. LCAs aren’t limited to just one kind of lab, we will show you LCAs for both Virtual Machine-based labs as well as Cloud Slice labs.
Key Takeaways
1. Learn about the Life Cycles of a Lab Instance and when you can trigger actions
2. Discover different scripting methods such as PowerShell and BASH which allow you to talk to your labs and get them started just right
3. View examples of scripts doing everything from changing a Virtual Machine to spinning up resources behind the scenes in the cloud
