QA uses Learn on Demand Systems platform to solve security scare for one of the world’s largest financial institutions

One of QA’s main goals is to be the United Kingdom’s most trusted training provider. So, when one of the world’s largest financial institutions reached out to the QA team for help, they were all ears.

An audit by the financial institution’s Geographic Information System (GIS) team had revealed a potential avenue for data theft on the institution’s training delivery platform. The platform was immediately globally blacklisted. But that didn’t stop the institution’s need for a way to deliver training to its employees worldwide. In fact, classes were scheduled and coming up soon.

QA embarked on a search for a new, […]

Why Are Skills Assessments Required in Today’s Organizations?

By: Carol Gravel, EdD, MEd, SHRM-CP

Skill assessments provide an inventory of validated skills.

IT organizations must develop organizational practices, such as skills assessments and the use of agile teams, to keep pace with the inevitable digital transformation.  Many organizations are creating skills inventory systems to track and analyze individual skills to not only properly staff agile teams, but also to identify skills gaps. Building a skills inventory can be broken down into three stages.

  • Learn the stages.

Skill assessments allow organizations the ability to assign individuals to teams or projects based on knowledge and/or necessary skills and create a […]

Activity-Based Assessments

We are proud to announce the release of our newest IDLx feature – activity-based assessments. In addition to the capability of adding automated Performance Based Testing (PBT) at the end of a lab, we noticed several customers needing the ability to offer assessments as their lab progress, either as an optional ‘knowledge check’ or as a required assessment before being allowed to continue (‘building blocks’). The result is the ability to utilize a variety of ways to check knowledge throughout a lab.

Creating activities within labs helps to keep your students more involved in the learning process, taking knowledge retention to […]

Announcements Overhaul – More functionality, new look, and persistent access

The Announcements feature has had a major overhaul in functionality and appearance. You now have much more flexibility to control how, where, and when announcements are seen. Here are a few examples: 1) prioritize announcements as mandatory, high, or normal; 2) set them to open in their own pop-up tied to a TMS page, and 3) expire them or completely remove them on set dates from the newly renamed Message Center. In addition, changes have been made to how announcements look and how users access them. More on these changes later.
