NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – April 21, 2020 – Learn on Demand Systems, the global leader in hands-on learning, has joined IMS Global Learning Consortium as a Learning Tools and Content Alliance member. IMS is a non-profit collaboration of more than 550 education technology solution providers, higher education institutions, states and school districts.

The IMS Alliance membership and adoption of the IMS Learning Tools Interoperability® (LTI®) standard and the IMS Security Framework reflects Learn on Demand Systems’ commitment to a scalable, seamless and secure learning platform. Achieving the LTI Advantage Complete certification within days of membership reflects their aptitude and focus on the education industry’s needs.

“We’re thrilled to join IT and academic leaders of IMS in driving educational technology to create engaging and effective learning experiences,” said Corey Hynes, CEO, Learn on Demand Systems. “Our core beliefs complement IMS standards and achieving certification further validates our focus on security, data privacy and platform interoperability.”

The IMS LTI industry standard delivers a single framework for integrating Learning Management Systems (LMS) with Learn on Demand Systems’ platform for the delivery and management of hands-on live learning environments for skills development and validation.

LTI Advantage Complete certification includes LTI 1.3 and focuses on key security features that make it easier for instructors to build, manage and offer courses with access to the following services (read our blog for more about benefits):

  • Assignment and Grade Services – seamlessly synchs grades, progress and comments from multiple sources in our platform including scored labs for performance testing
  • Deep Linking – creates an efficient student workflow between instructor content and our platform
  • Names and Role Provisioning Services – securely shares course enrollment information with our platform to provide administrators with accurate course completion data

“LTI Advantage creates a better integrated user experience for our customers who also use third party platforms,” said Hynes. “Certification also enables us to more tightly integrate with third-party learning management systems, such as Canvas and Blackboard.”

“LTI Advantage fosters seamless adoption of innovative learning solutions through deeper integration and secure, real-time data exchange,” said Mark Leuba, Vice President of Product Management, IMS Global Learning Consortium. “We are pleased that Learn on Demand Systems has achieved LTI Advantage Complete certification, advancing a plug-and-play digital ecosystem so institutions can deliver more engaging, data-driven and meaningful learning experiences at the speed of now.”
